2020 Season Update

We hope you are all staying safe, in good health, and your kids are spending as much time as they can outdoors practicing lacrosse.

It’s with disappointment that we announce that the Lower Bucks Lacrosse Board has decided to cancel the Spring lacrosse season. Governor Wolf’s latest announcement extending the stay-at-home order, along with our supporting leagues, PAGLA and SEPYLA cancelling, has made it clear that we cannot proceed with the season.

Cancelling the lacrosse season pales in comparison to the very real devastation and illness being faced all over the world and in our very own backyards. We are thinking of our parents who are still working and now homeschooling their children. We wish we could offer an outlet for all that pent up energy. To all our parents that are healthcare professionals, fire or police, thank you for putting your community first.

We would, however, be remiss if we didn’t thank all our volunteers for all the hard work they put in up to this point. The LBL Board is continuing to meet regularly throughout the crisis and we are working hard to make sure your child has the opportunity to play lacrosse as soon as we are able. Stay tuned for details on summer and fall opportunities once we are cleared to return to play!

Please email info@lblax.org with any questions.

LBL Teams

The following information pertains to boys and girls registered for LBL TEAMS.

The LBL Board has done an extensive review of our finances to determine what is both realistic and fiscally responsible for the long term health of our program.

To start, we’d like to provide some insight into the fixed costs we incur before the season starts.

  • US Lacrosse dues for all players and coaches
  • Indoor time for player evaluations
  • Field rental
  • Coach development
  • Field maintenance
  • League insurance
  • Equipment

A list of all fees paid during registration can be found in your TeamSnap account.

  • Login to TeamSnap and look in the My Registrations page
  • Find the Lower Bucks Lacrosse 2020 Team Player Registration section
  • Tap on the View Receipt link for a detailed receipt

The following information provides detail on each of the different fees and which are eligible for refunds.

Participant Fees
Each player will receive a 50% refund of the Participant Fee. The amount of the fee paid at registration was based on the player grade level and whether they were part of the early bird registration.

Uniforms
Players in grades 1-7 who paid for a uniform will receive their order (if you have not received it already) once we can safely interact with one another again. We cannot provide refunds for uniforms in grades 1-7 as we have already paid for them. We will work with you next season if you leave the uniform unopened and need to exchange for a larger size.

8th graders will receive a full refund for their uniform purchase. 8th graders who have already received their new uniform – please email info@lblax.org to let us know if you prefer to keep it or return it for a refund.

Rental Equipment
Boys who rented equipment have the option to receive a refund of the $60 rental fee or purchase the equipment for an additional $160. Coach Adams will be in touch with all players who rented equipment to coordinate the return or buyout.

We will begin processing refunds through TeamSnap on May 1st. You will receive a credit to the card used during registration. Please let us know before this date if you are willing to donate your refund to the league. The process through TeamSnap takes up to 21 days to complete.

TryLax

We are taking TryLax virtual!

We love our TryLaxers and want to ensure all of our boys and girls have the opportunity to try lacrosse this spring. All players will be receiving their t-shirts, lacrosse ball and stick (for those who chose the option) on Sunday April 19th. We have a team of volunteers who will be hand delivering them to your doorstep. No contact required!

We are in the process of creating a playlist on YouTube of videos you can use with your child to teach them the skills we would cover in our live sessions. Expect an email early next week with a link and simple instructions on how to get started.

In addition, we will be processing a partial refund for each TryLax registration. All players who received a stick with their registration will receive a $25 refund and players who did not receive a stick will receive $40. This is the max we can offer given the fixed costs of running the program.

We will begin processing refunds through TeamSnap on May 1st.  You will receive a credit to the card used during registration. Please let us know before this date if you are willing to donate your refund to the league. The process through TeamSnap takes up to 21 days to complete.
