UPDATED: Coronavirus (COVID-19) – Information for LBL Families
March 29, 2020 @ 8:00 PM – We are still holding out hope for a spring lacrosse season and believe that our best course of action is to continue to follow the lead of our local school districts and municipalities. With that said, our season is still suspended until further notice. The TryLax program, which was set to begin this Saturday April 4th, will be pushed back as well.
The most common question we have received so far… “What will happen if the season is cancelled?”
We continue to work to determine what level of refund or credit will be possible, while maintaining the financial health of the club. There are many fixed costs that have already been spent as well as some fees we are working to recover if possible. We will be able to provide more clarity on refunds / credits once a final decision is made on the season and we have complete information from our vendors. Thank you all for your patience and understanding as we work through all of the many details.
It is our sincere hope that all of our families are healthy and safe during this unprecedented time. We hope to see you all on the field soon.
March 22, 2020 @ 8:00 PM – We hope this update finds all of our families both safe and healthy during what is a very challenging time. The LBL Board of Directors met this evening to discuss and review the current state of the season. During our video conference we reviewed the latest updates from the school district as well as directives from the state of Pennsylvania. We remain optimistic and are continuing to hold out hope that we will have a lacrosse season this Spring. There are several contingency plans being considered for shortened seasons and we are also looking at what it would mean to have to cancel the season altogether.
The board will provide weekly updates each Sunday evening as new information is made available. Please bear with us as we navigate this unexpected and unprecedented crisis. We appreciate your support.
All LBL programs, practices, games and events are cancelled until further notice.
March 12, 2020 @ 9:30 PM – We have been monitoring the developing situation with the coronavirus over the past few days. As a board, and per Governor Wolf’s public address made today, March 12th, we have decided that Lower Bucks Lacrosse will be adhering to all public health recommendations pertaining to Coronavirus/COVID-19.
All LBL programs, practices, games and events are cancelled until at least March 29th.
We will provide updates as more information is made available.
The health and well-being of the players and families of Lower Bucks Lacrosse is our number one priority. Lower Bucks Lacrosse is following the guidelines sent forward by the CDC, US Lacrosse and the PA Department of Health as the coronavirus situation evolves.
As various school closures take place in our area, we will communicate decisions to players, parents, coaches and volunteers whether activities will continue as scheduled or change.
In the meantime, here are some basic rules to help you and your family stay safe:
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water (at least 30 seconds).
- Avoid touching your mouth, eyes or nose with your hands.
- If an athlete, coach or staff member has symptoms such as coughing, fever or general malaise, they should contact their physician, should NOT attend practice and should consider self-isolation until evaluated by medical personnel.
As a source of information and support, LBL will continue to provide up-to-date information and resources when available to aid in information distribution, event preparation and organizational response. We will continue to make all efforts to ensure that our members and athletes are informed, safe and ready to compete.
